What multiple are you seeing for pool service companies right now?

Looking at a pool route business in Arizona. Broker is asking 3.5x SDE. Feels high for what's basically a route book with a truck. What are you guys seeing in this space?

3.5x is high. Pool routes typically go for 2-2.5x unless there's significant repair/remodel revenue on top. If it's just chemical and cleaning, counter at 2.5x and see what happens.

Depends on the churn. If customers are on annual contracts with auto-renew, 3x is fair. If they're month-to-month and can cancel anytime, no way I'd pay over 2.5x.

Arizona pool routes are hot right now because everyone moving there needs pool service. The demand is driving multiples up. I'd still try for 3x max though.
