Question
Google Ads vs Google LSA — which one is working better for you?
GarageDoorMan✓March 19, 2026
Running both right now for garage door repair. Google Ads costs me about $45/lead. LSA (Local Service Ads) costs about $28/lead. But LSA leads feel lower quality — more tire kickers. Anyone else seeing this?

Same experience. LSA is cheaper per lead but the close rate is way lower. When I do the math on cost per actual booked job, they're almost identical. I run both and let them compete.

LSA leads are lower intent because the customer is just clicking the green checkmark at the top of Google. They haven't searched specifically for you. But the volume is there. Treat LSA as top-of-funnel and your regular Google Ads as mid-funnel.

That framing makes sense. I was treating them the same but they're really different lead types. Thanks.
